Keeping Your Blog Content Fresh

Keeping Your Blog Content FreshI recently ran into a situation where I could not update my blog content due to long hours at my day job. So what are you supposed to do in order to keep the fresh information and traffic flowing?

The first thing I am trying is sending out tweets to all my followers with links to my existing content. Since there is a good chance that many of them have not visited my blog yet, at least some traffic can be generated that way.

The next thing I am going to attempt is posting on some of my favorite forums that I am looking for guest bloggers to help me out. This way if the situation ever arises again, I will have a back-up of posts that will keep the content flowing.

What methods have you used to deal with this dilemma? I would be interested in hearing your solutions to make sure that the content on your blog remains continually updated.

How I set up my regular postings and at the same time keep my content fresh is that I decided on a post frequency. I make posts every other day. So one day I publish a post and tomorrow I relax. I would make a post everyday, but I have a gut feeling that I'm not ready for that yet or I'm not suited for that type of post frequency. It's soon to tell as I'm just starting to add more content on my current blog.

Remember, don't make posts everyday if there's other priorities you have to deal with. Content counts.

Rudi Garcia Thanks for your input. I normally have the time to maintain my post frequency but this unexpected delay put a real damper on my abilities. I am considering putting a guest post button on the blog to see if any interested parties would like to contribute. BTW - nice blog.
